Adding your location to a Tweet

Enabling this feature allows Twitter to:

  • Show your followers the location you are Tweeting from as part of your Tweet
  • Personalize your experience based on location information.

If you choose to add location to your Tweets using Twitter for Android, Twitter for iOS or other mobile applications, you attach your specific location to your Tweets. When you tweet from twitter.com, you can choose to attach a general location (such as a city or neighborhood).

Important security note: It is important to note that deleting location information in your settings does not guarantee the information will be removed from all copies of the data on third-party applications or in external search results.
